Panelists - Zoom does not allow you to submit questions via the Q&A feature. if you have a question, send it to me and I will submit on your behalf
You should all be able to control your own slides. There's just a slight lag as a switch control from the previous speaker. Happy to advance slides if you want me to though
Please drive my slides, Elise. Thx Alf

Not to be preachy, but if we have 8-12 years to avoid large irreversible impacts of climate change, shouldn’t the new measurement of cost be the lifecycle CO2 emissions rather than LCOE? The goal is to eliminate CO2 emissions, and LCOE doesn’t capture sea level rise, population relocation, crop yield declines, etc.
I don't want to distract from all of this important and interesting information, but just a quick reminder to the people that may just be joining us that we have a networking room open throughout the event (I checked and there are people over there). The link can be found on the event agenda, as well as speaker profiles and contact information: https://www.umassd.edu/outreach/marine-renewable-energy-conference-2020/mre-2020-agenda/
We'll keep the networking open past five for those who a riveted or would like to continue the conversation.
Just a reminder that if panelists would like to ask questions to send them to Ryan
Hi Phil, do you have any examples of deploying arrays and explain challenges.
Hi Bill, great to hear the update and great progress RME has made. Can you talk about what your greatest challenge is in getting your system up and running. I notice you have a lab in Hingham, I reside currently in Hull. Happy to have someone like you local. I know COVID has curtailed progress, but how many will you employ in MA? BTW my "firm" is Marine Marketing Services.
Hi Stuart, can you clarify how the RivGen unit would respond to fish migration? Is there any way you plan to provide safeguards for the fish in the future on the unit, or do you instead just plan on removing the unit as a whole?
Here is the networking link:
Reminder: most people should ask their answers via the Q&A box. If anyone is unable to, you can give your question to Ryan Merrill for answering
And as a reminder, a link to the full agenda: https://www.umassd.edu/outreach/marine-renewable-energy-conference-2020/
Trey please comment on if there will be or is a preferred turbine type for tidal energy generation.
Ruth Perry, all that autonomous tech is really cool, is this method of monitoring being done over seas?? or is this idea being floated here because you are working in deeper water.
Just a reminder that you can advance your owns slides, but I'm hear if you need me. I just can't type in the chat when someone else has control of my screen, but I can always advance slides at any time
Hi everyone. Don't forget to put your question in the Q&A section. Also, the networking room is still open at https://www.wonder.me/r?id=l2s8sw-v96lm&host=etfd65rvt6 Also, the event is being recorded, and will be soon be available on the event website at http://www.umassd.edu/events/mre
Question for Jason, to what extent have these NE based testing facilities listed as part of your TEAMER program?
